Within the Framework of Continuous Cooperation, the Director of the Training Centre Met with the Analyst of the Observation Mission of the National Democratic Institute (NDI)

On September 10, 2024, the director of the Training Centre Natia Zaalishvili met with Rishi Datta, the analyst of the observation mission of the National Democratic Institute (NDI).

In order to promote the conduct of election processes in accordance with European and international standards, the director of the Training Centre discussed in detail the professional training programs of District and Precinct Election Commissions, developed for the elections of October 26, 2024. As Natia Zaalishvili noted, the training programs during the election period in the direction of institutional strengthening of the election administration are an important part of a large-scale project, the implementation of which began at the beginning of the year, during the non-election period, and aims to strengthen the professionalism of election administrators to provide qualified service to voters.

On the issue of promoting the staffing of election commissions with qualified personnel, the representative of the observation mission was also provided with information about the certification exam cycle, which was administered by the Training Center, in cooperation with the CEC, in the period from September 2023 to July 2024 in a continuous mode throughout the country.

In the format of the meeting, attention was drawn to the aspects of fruitful cooperation with international and local organizations. The informational materials, manuals and services of various formats developed in the partnership mode, provide any voter, interested person, with equal access to election information and the opportunity to fully participate in the election process. In this regard, the director of the Training Centre spoke about the mechanisms of the voters' information campaign, the informational-educational projects elaborated with the focus on the development of stakeholders’ electoral capabilities, and on the public platform created.

At the end of the meeting, the participants agreed that in accordance with good practice, the Training Centre will constantly provide information on the planned activities to the representatives of the observation mission based on continuous cooperation.

The Training Centre greatly appreciates the high interest of the international observation mission to the activities of the institution, which serves the common goal of supporting democratic election processes.
