On September 24, 2024, the Director of the Training Centre Natia Zaalishvili met with the Director of the International Republican Institute (IRI) long-term observation mission Sean Dunne and long-term observers of the mission Emil Shakir Uulu and Slavomir Szyzska.

The Director of the Training Centre discussed in detail the professional training programs for District and Precinct Election Commissions, developed for the elections of October 26, 2024. On the issue of promoting the staffing of election commissions with qualified staff, the representatives of the observation mission were also provided with information about the certification exam cycle, which was administered by the Training Centre, in cooperation with the CEC, through the period of September 2023 - July 2024, on a continuous basis throughout the country.

At the meeting, the Director of the Training Centre focused on the mechanisms of the large-scale voter information campaign and the information-educational projects implemented with the focus on raising the electoral awareness of the stakeholders, which aims at informing about technological innovations, promote adaptation to innovations and forming the uniform perception of the relevant regulations.

At the end of the meeting, the participants agreed that in accordance with good practice, the Training Centre will constantly provide information on the planned activities to the representatives of the observation mission based on continuous cooperation. The Training Centre greatly appreciates the high interest of the international observation mission to the activities of the institution, which serves the common goal of supporting democratic election processes.
